Lead Android Engineer

This role is a full-time remote position (can work anywhere from the U.S.) and will report to an Engineering Manager.

Launched in 1999, Digital Envoy introduced the concept of privacy-sensitive IP-based geolocation and IP intelligence, allowing businesses—from ad networks to publishers to websites to retailers and more—to harness the power of location and new intelligence about connected users for a multitude of mission-critical applications.

Digital Envoy and its subsidiaries are looking for a full-time Lead Android Engineer who will build out and optimize our SDKs and help other app publisher partners integrate our SDKs successfully.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
●    Develops releases of the company’s SDKs and helps maintain and minimize its impact on Android vitals 
●    Provides thought leadership on industry best practices around architecture design, testing, and security
●    Troubleshoot and debug issues with partners integrating the company SDKs into their Android apps. Aid our Client Success team with technical questions regarding software installation during onboarding 
●    Implement testing strategies to ensure that our SDKs work across different kinds of apps over different devices and across various networks.
●    Collaborate with Android team members and participate in software design for all libraries that the team creates
●    Help lead and drive feature planning for overall Android team roadmap
●    Write documentation for the libraries that we create
●    Work with cross-functional team members (e.g. Back-End and DevOps engineers) and ensure that data is successfully transmitted from our SDKs into the back-end

WHO YOU ARE:
●    5+ years of experience working as an Android Engineer
●    4+ years of experience with Kotlin and has worked with Kotlin coroutines
●    Experience working with REST APIs
●    Experience with writing SDKs or libraries 
●    Familiar with distributing apps through Firebase or Google Play Developer Console
●    Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
●    Knowledge of Agile Methodologies
●    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
●    Ability to work on multiple projects at once
●    Prefers working remotely
